REHAB Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB), Hawaii’s only rehabilitation hospital, invites the community to an open house for its wellness program, REHAB Strong, on August 27 from 3-5 p.m. The event is open to the public and will showcase how the program empowers individuals to confidently take charge of their health journey in a safe, specialist-led environment.
REHAB Strong is specially designed for Hawaii's proactive seniors and individuals recovering from various medical conditions, such as stroke, cancer or pulmonary challenges. The program offers a structured yet compassionate environment for those looking to regain their strength and confidence, providing peace of mind compared to traditional gyms or community centers.
REHAB Strong features intimate class sizes led by specialized instructors who have extensive experience working with clients recovering from physical and cognitive challenges. These experts understand human anatomy, complex medical histories, and the mechanics of recovery, giving you peace of mind while you work out.
“As our community ages, the need for safe, accessible, and specialty-led fitness is more critical than ever,” said Abbi Banas, Wellness Coordinator. “REHAB Strong is here to ensure our clients can live gracefully, safely and strongly, while also providing crucial support to survivors and thrivers navigating life after a specific diagnosis.”
REHAB believes that specialty-led wellness should be affordable and convenient. Classes start at just $18, with bundle discounts available for frequent attendees. Furthermore, participants can easily manage their wellness journey using the new “REHAB Hospital” app—available on the Apple App Store and Google Play—which allows users to view schedules, sign up, and pay for classes or one-to-one appointments with just a few taps.
