At REHAB’s new Wheelchair Clinic Vendor Days, industry experts and REHAB therapists provide personalized guidance in 60-90 minute sessions so individuals with mobility needs can maximize their independence and ultimately enhance their quality of life.
At the clinic, in-depth assessments are done to evaluate the safety, fit and overall effectiveness of an individual’s wheelchair or scooter. Participants then receive professional guidance that centers around their comfort, skin protection, postural support and operational confidence so they can make changes that have an immediate impact. As the only facility to offer dedicated wheelchair vendor days in Hawaii, REHAB is excited to host this impactful resource for all members of the community with mobility needs on a monthly basis.
“Having the right wheelchair setup is crucial for each individual’s health and enjoyment of everyday life,” said Stephanie Nadolny, President and CEO of REHAB. “Frequent evaluations and tune-ups are key to maximizing wheelchair users’ independence and long-term success.”
REHAB’s Wheelchair Clinic Vendor Days aim to:
- Empower Hawaii’s community with mobility needs, equipping them with the best tools and confidence to make the most of their mobility device.
- Connect both new and experienced wheelchair users with professionals in the field who are excited to share their expertise on the most up-to-date wheelchair practices.
- Make immediate improvements, because even small adjustments can make a world of difference.
REHAB’s Wheelchair Clinic Vendor Days are open to anyone who uses a mobility device. The clinic is covered by most insurances. All participants must be referred by a physician; referrals can be faxed to (808) 535-2018. Call (808) 544-3310 for more information.
