Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) medical staff is a multidisciplinary team with specializations that include physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, occupational medicine and psychology.
Physiatrists are physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. These specialists coordinate the patient's care plan with the other care-team members.
Occupational physicians are concerned with the management of people who have illness or disability related to work.
Internal medicine physicians provide medical care, other than medical rehabilitation care, for patients who are in the hospital. This could be related to infections, wound care, cardiac and other conditions.
Psychologists assist patients to overcome the physical and emotional challenges resulting from a disability, providing support for a smooth transition home.
