Occupational Therapist (Clinical Specialist)
Konane (Koko) DeRyke is the clinical specialist for occupational therapy. She is responsible for staff training, clinical education and program development. Koko attended the University of Puget Sound, where she obtained her bachelor of science in occupational therapy in 1994.
Koko joined REHAB in 1995 as a staff occupational therapist. In 2001, she expanded her role at REHAB, when she moved into her current position as the Occupational Therapy Clinical Specialist. In addition to patient care, her primary responsibility is to advance OT competency with both new and seasoned staff.
Koko attended the University of Puget Sound, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1994. Since then, she has had extensive education in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), when she attended the 3 week course in 1999, and advanced NDT course for the upper and lower extremities. She also has in-depth knowledge in spinal cord injury, the shoulder complex, myofascial release, kinesiotaping, and vision assessment and treatment. She is currently pursuing a certificate in low vision rehabilitation.
