Community Development Representative
Requirements:
Knowledge of medical terminology. Basic knowledge of computers and scheduling of patients.
Job Duties:
In collaboration with the Community Liaisons, facilitates the inpatient bed control process for efficient utilization of inpatient beds. Ensures that referrals are completed, and that patients who are approved for inpatient admissions are scheduled within 24 to 48 hours. Identifies variances and implements corrective actions within the 24 to 48 hour time span. Tracks all referrals and actions taken per referral, in collaboration with the Community Liaisons. Integrates and collaborates with Nursing Supervisors, Admissions/Central Registration and Clinical Care Coordinators on the day-to-day status of open beds for inpatient admissions.
