The rebirth of REHAB is amongst us. If you haven’t heard, REHAB is working to create a new and inviting environment for its patients. A true atmosphere of healing starting with the 4th floor and working its way down to the rest of the hospital.
After nine months since the start of construction, REHAB unveiled its newly renovated 4th floor in April dedicated to treating neurological patients. As the most comprehensive renovation to date, the transformation of the nearly 60-year old hospital is simply astonishing.
REHAB’s new 4th floor offers the efficiency our clinicians need with a warm and nurturing atmosphere our patients deserve. Contributions helped to build more private rooms including specialty rooms with built-in equipment and in-wall oxygen and suction. This enables REHAB to accept patients that would otherwise have to travel to the mainland for rehabilitation or forgo the care they need to recover to their highest potential. The floor also features a therapy gym with state-of-the-art equipment, recreational room, dining room, vision center, and centralized team station and conference room.
The walls have already come down on the third floor and construction is well underway. The third floor is scheduled to open up again for business at the end of this year. We will keep you posted!
