Timothy J. Roe, MD
President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Timothy J. Roe became President and Chief Executive Officer of the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB) in 2012. He is responsible for developing an organizational vision, implementing strategic and operating plans to insure quality services, growth, financial viability, program and human resource development and community benefit. He also oversees all day-to-day operations of the hospital.
Roe served as executive director for the Cheng Health Foundation in Hawaii. He has also served as CEO and medical director for International Health Technologies; on the medical staff at The Queen’s Medical Center and Kuakini Medical Center; as medical director of St. Joseph Regional Rehabilitation Center in Texas and Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital in South Carolina; and as director of West Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
Roe earned his bachelor’s of science degree from University of Notre Dame, a master’s of business administration from University of Hawaii at Manoa and doctorate in medicine from Loyola University. He completed his internship in internal medicine at University of California at Los Angeles Department of Medicine and West Los Angeles VAMC Department of Medicine, and residency at UCLA’s Multicampus Residency Program. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, a diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.
REHAB Foundation President & Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Ko Miyataki is the President of the REHAB Foundation and SVP of Human Resources. She started her career at the University of Hawaii (UH) Foundation as the Director of Annual Giving. She came to REHAB in 1988 as the Executive Director of the newly formed Foundation. She joined the Kealii Pauahi Foundation at Kamehameha Schools from 2001 to 2004.
Miyataki returned to REHAB in 2004 as President of the REHAB Foundation and was appointed as Senior Vice President of Human Resources in 2009.
She holds a doctorate of Education degree from the University of Hawaii.
Sue Ann Moriwaki
Senior Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Treasurer
Sue Moriwaki is Senior Vice President Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Treasurer for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific (REHAB). She is responsible for all components of the revenue cycle including inpatient referrals and registration, patient billing, medical records and case management. She also oversees facilities management, housekeeping, food services, security, and purchasing in addition to all accounting and finance-related functions in the Hospital.
Moriwaki joined REHAB in 1990 as a Financial Analyst and in 1993 became the Financial Services Supervisor. In 1995 she was promoted to Manager of Accounting and Finance. Moriwaki expanded her role in 1997 to the Director of Revenue and Billing, and was appointed as Compliance Officer from 1997 to 2000. In 2003, Moriwaki became the Vice President of Finance and later became CFO in October 2007. Moriwaki recently expanded her role to oversee the installation of REHAB’s electronic medical record and facility renovation projects.
Moriwaki holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in international business from the University of Hawaii.
